A Knoxville couple was arrested Sept. 11 after they got in a fight in the Weigel’s bathroom in Sweetwater.

Sweetwater Police Officer Kurt Cannon said when he got to the store on New Highway 68, he talked to Isahvius Morgan, who had locked himself in the bathroom. He told Cannon he and his girlfriend had been arguing because he was supposed to cook for her, but forgot the chicken.

He said the argument escalated and when they stopped at the Weigel’s, he went into the bathroom and his girlfriend, Carrial Monique Orr, followed him in.

They continued an argument and an employee came into the bathroom with a broom and a dustpan and tried to separate them, but Orr took the broom from him and threw it at Morgan.

The two then began throwing punches at each other, inadvertently hitting the employee in the nose and eye.

Morgan, 28, and Orr, 23, both of Cassell Valley Way, Knoxville, were each charged with simple domestic assault.
